Internocracy launches the Interns Campaign for Change
Internocracy, the internships organisation, launched the start of the Interns Campaign for Change on 2nd October 2009 - a chance for interns and those interested in a fair deal for young people to join us in challenging the unfair status quo in internships and outlining how we can change things for the better.
Were throwing open the challenge to anyone interested in solving the inherent problems that exist to get in touch with us with their ideas, thoughts and experiences of internships. Well then work with interns past, present and potential including our own Interns Advisory Board to turn this into an Interns Manifesto to present to politicians and policymakers.
Interns' Manifesto
Internocracy is putting together a manifesto which will signal real change in internships to young people, organisations and policymakers. If you would like to get involved in the discussion around internships, dont hesitate to drop us a line at hello [at] Internocracy [dot] org.
Inspiring Internships
We want to make sure that the current financial climate doesnt further exacerbate the inequalities that exist in moving from education to employment in the UK. We are campaigning for organisations to certify the quality of their internships using a credible quality mark.
Internocracy is on a mission to identify the most inspiring internship programmes in the country! Could it be yours?
Our search will be directed by interns' experiences, so let us know if you had a brilliant internship, which organisation ran it, and what was so great about it
